We had the best experience on Justice's tour today. He explained everything we would do at the beginning, and everything met our expectations. He also gave us some history lessons on the way! The river and hike were beautiful and not too difficult for us. But 7 miles round trip and 5 hours may be difficult for some. We swam and walked under the waterfall at the top, and it was so refreshing. Lunch was provided, and Justice cut up a fresh pinapple for us to eat at the end. Overall, we had a great time with our group and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kauai!

Did this excursion with my 2 kids (18 & 7) Jan 2024. Debated going on our own or guided. So glad we choose guided. Our guide Izzy was a awesome and knowledgeable young lady. She made the trip so much better! Aloha!

We had such a blast kayaking amongst the scenic views of the wailua river. G was such a great tour guide! He was nice and knowledgeable and made the experience fun and unforgettable. Highly recommend this kayak excursion for anyone looking for a fun activity in Kauai.

Our kayaking and hiking trip was wonderful! It was a bit slippery on the trail as we had some liquid sunshine on the paddle in, but the falls were TOTALLY worth it. Kayak Kauai were very trusting with their kayaks and friendly and helpful—we appreciated that. Mahalo and aloha until our wakes cross again.

We kayaked up the Wailua River and hiked to sacred falls. This was such an amazing adventure! It was definitely a high point of our trip. We had our two ten-year-olds with us and they did great. It’s challenging but not too much so as long as you’re in basically good shape. Be warned that you definitely will get muddy feet, so don’t wear shoes you don’t want to get dirty and wet. I wore my Chaco sandals and they were perfect for it. We loved getting into the pool at the base of the sacred fall and while it was cold it was a really cool experience to be there. The lunch was pretty good. It’s a sandwich, chips, a cookie, and they let you grab two drinks too if you want. Our guide Justice was so nice. I am not an experienced kayaker and I was doing all the paddling by myself because my daughter wasn’t very interested in paddling…so I fell a bit behind and he was so patient and paddled along beside us the whole way and encouraged us. He never made me feel bad for not being the best at it. He would have towed us if I hadn’t been able to finish it—although I was. It’s not really that far and it was doable for me. Thanks Kayak Kauai for a wonderful time!

Had a great trip to secret falls with our guide Harrison (Htown). The kayak trip to the falls is peaceful with the wind at your back. Harrison did a great job on the hike to the falls stopping regularly to point out unique plants. We got to the falls a little ahead of schedule which was great as had some extra time there. Be warned though- secret falls is not so secret and got pretty busy! Save some strength for the kayak trip back as the headwind makes it harder!

I was so fortunate to be paired with beautiful and knowledgeable guide Sarah. She shared history of the natives while paddling the river, and timed our arrival at the falls perfectly to avoid the crowds. BEST tour!!! Highly recommend for awesome adventure.
